The Royal Emblem inside the Durbar Hall

Parlakhemundi Palace is one of the rich Royal heritages of the state. It is situated at the southern district of Odisha, Gajapati. The district was renamed after the rulers of Gajapati dynasty. Recently the Palace and its dynasty were in news as the last heir and head of Gajapati dynasty in Parlakhemundi Gopinath Gajapati Narayan Deo passed away on January this year.  He was elected as Member of Parliament two times and Passed away at the age of 76 with multiple diseases.
